 Kirkuk blijft ons essentiele regio waar verscheidene partijen om vechten. Na de Koerden in 2014 de plaats uit handen betreffende Kan zijn weten te oplopen, verovert dit Iraakse leger Kirkuk in 2017 weer retour.
